Referrals and Medicare rebates
Telehealth consultations with a specialist dermatologist attract a Medicare rebate when you have a valid referral from your GP or another specialist. A GP referral is generally valid for 12 months. Ask your GP to address the referral to Dr Burcu Kim, and our team will confirm the fee and expected rebate when you book.
When an in-person visit is recommended
Some concerns, particularly full skin-cancer checks, biopsies and procedural treatments, need to be done in person. Dr Kim consults in person at BMA House, Suite 904, Level 9, 135-137 Macquarie Street, Sydney CBD, and will let you know if an in-clinic visit is the better option for your condition.
