Isotretinoin is a treatment used for acne. The right skincare keeps you comfortable and lets you complete your course smoothly.
A gentle, supportive skincare routine helps keep you comfortable during your course. This guide is general information only and supports the advice and monitoring provided by Dr Kim — always follow the specific instructions given to you.
Dryness is the most common effect. You may notice dry or peeling skin, chapped lips, a dry nose (sometimes with minor nosebleeds), dry eyes and increased sensitivity to sunlight. These effects are usually manageable with a simple routine and tend to settle after your course finishes.

Check with Dr Kim before starting any new skincare product or cosmetic treatment.
Isotretinoin can cause serious harm to an unborn baby and must not be taken during pregnancy. If there is any possibility of pregnancy, effective contraception and the pregnancy-prevention measures agreed with your doctor are essential. Do not share your medication, and follow all monitoring and blood-test instructions given to you.
Contact the clinic if you have severe dryness or irritation that is not settling, significant mood changes, or any side effect that concerns you, or if you have questions about your treatment.
